ABOUT THE MIDWIFE

Carolina Reyes was born in Colombia and was raised 20 years in the Pacific Northwest. In 2004 Carolina earned a Social Ecology degree focusing on community organizing and agroecology from Western Washington University. Carolina trained at the intensive Maternidad La Luz in El Paso and is licensed as a Certified Professional Midwife and is a licensed midwife in  Arizona and Texas. She has worked in a homebirth practice in Austin, TX and also with the San Antonio Birth Center. Carolina believes in the power of the birthing process and the beauty of the earth.

Carolina has assisted over 150 births. As a fully bilingual, bicultural, brown woman, Carolina strives to expand access to affordable midwifery care for all people.
